Social Media Marketing Automated

Social Media require a good input of time. Be it Blogs, Social Networks or any other Web 2.0 platform where personal involvement is required, the time factor plays an important role as in any human relation based context.

Marketing involving social media requires therefore a good dose of planning and a solid concept.

Social Media allow targeting based on internal search tools. Searching means: you have to know to know your targeted keywords, login, search and then invite people to join your list. It’s an active push approach.

This approach takes too much time, namely when you are involved in multiple networks.

The second approach would be: be open to anyone who wants to join your list and make yourself available under the search terms corresponding to your goals.

This is a passive, pull approach.

When targeting actively, we do the screening when typing our keywords and phrases into the search tool; when targeting passively we are available for all those who are searching for the keywords linked to our profile. In this latter case the screening is done without our personal active  involvement and we don’t need to have a case by case approach.

Automated screening, where our profile attracts interested people via the internal search engine is my preferred method as it does not require any additional tasks to be added to my daily work load once I have set up my account on a social networks.

Once we are available via the search engine, we then have to offer to interested people what they are looking for. To make the pipeline efficient, we need to make sure that we offer the shortest possible link to what people are searching for, and that’s a link to our web site, blog, online publication outside of the social network.

Our website allows readers to comment and subsequently we can follow up on those comments as the case may be. Or we offer an opt-in to our newsletter which allows yet another way to follow up or we just offer a contact form and or a call me button and the communication hooks are thus in place.

YORGOO Press has added and implemented this week-end its new Social Media Marketing Module. The occasion was the Ycademy Online Seminar which allowed to test the resulting automated communication streams. The results are smashing.

You post an article to your YORGOO Press. the post triggers a Twitter entry to your wall and all the friends walls you post to. It then triggers an entry into facebook, becoming available to facebook prospects and friends as well. The concerned entry is a 140 letter Twitter format entry with a link back to your original article on your YORGOO Press.

In social networks, people can find the entry and click on the link and visit your site straight away.

Or, they can comment on facebook or Twitter, which will trigger an feed back to your YORGOO Press or any other site of yours, which created there a new blog entry you can now comment or react to…which in its turn triggers again a Twitter entry and a facebook entry … and you have just created the perpetuum mobile. In my case I use for SN returns my U Q Me Site.

YORGOO Press is an attractive website with exciting features providing visitors with an interesting surfing experience. We have added a media viewer which allows to view images, videos and listen to music on a fast opening overlay based media viewer without reloading the page which allows to view images in original size without the usual limits imposed by web site layouts. YORGOO Press links directly to Social Networks such as facebook and Twitter and generates automatically the above described streamlined Communication Flow.

YORGOO Press provides users automatically with quality content articles from authority authors which are automatically imported and can then be edited for publishing purposes to match the publishers requirements, targets and objectives. The module drags content from a large article data base 9hundreds of thousands of articles to choose from) into YORGOO Press. the selection is made via a category selector. The import is based on a timer and allows up to 10 articles to be imported per day.

Automated Google Map integration with just one mouse-click is now possible in blog posts and static pages.

YORGOO Press has advanced to the finest publishing framework online, making ultimate technology accessible to ordinary people achieving extraordinary things.

Test articles posted during the seminar had immediate impact as well as on social networks as on search engines. Interesting progress we noticed namely on the sites from Larrie Perkin, Joe Cettina,  Alejandra Neri and Zo Nicholas.

We also noticed, that our South African friends were somewhat neglected by Google and the indexing of new content took longer than for Europeans or Americans. This concerns namely Bianca Gubalke, Hanno Coetzee and Eileen Cupido. In fact connection problems in South Africa prevented Eileen for hours to log on to the seminar.

The Garden Route a new Online Publication

The Garden Route is the new online publication by Garden Route Publishing. The Purpose is to provide free online information about topics around the Garden Route as well as to be a useful tool for South Africans who would like to profit from the positive aspects of the Internet in our local and global society.

The Garden Route has been initiated by Yorgo Nestoridis from YORGOO Publishing, joined by Bianca Gubalke who have been inspired by the Garden Route Directory Project elaborated for Hanno Coetzee. Working on that latter project it appeared that there is an increasing demand for online services according to international standards and prices in South Africa.

“The Garden Route” is focused on bridging between low-tech live and the virtual world by making the best technology and the most personalized services accessible to anyone.

The Garden Route web site is powered by YORGOO Press, a Semiomantics script prepared and tuned by Yorgo Nestoridis. The formula used serves as a test for a typical local publication as it can be set up. The site will promote specifically efforts from the area of the Garden Route to develop business and services online, and extend it’s services then to South Africa.

The Garden Route is a non profit and non-commercial website, it’s a service for all those who want to join and use it. The Garden Route makes services available to a wide public and is open to contributions from the public to design a dynamic picture of every day life along the Garden Route, from artistic creativity to business and from agricultural to touristic developments, from personal online activity to online business building. The Garden Route is a Mirror and aims to bring additional opportunity to express views and opinions to a large readership way beyond the Garden Route.

Garden Route Project for Hanno Coetzee — South Africa

The Garden Route Project is a global Publishing and Communication Project we are building at the request of Hanno Coetzee from South Africa.

There are directories out there who all follow the usual pattern: they are designed to return cash to the owners without providing significant advertising impact or visibility on Search Engines for the linked advertisers.

A Directory is as good as its visibility and dynamic. However most of them, and there are literally thousands out there, suffer a lonesome, static existence somewhere out in the desert. The reason is often not even a matter of content, but a matter of how the content is published.

And here we are midst of the problem: a Directory is like a Magazine, a Newspaper or any website a matter of Publishing and not just of web mastering.

The project is a publishing project with all it entails. At the base there is publishing software which reaches out for potential readers on one hand  and which on the other provides an interface for advertisers and contributors to access the services provided by the publisher.

Also there is an editing job to be taken care of, a webmaster job, a marketing job on the customer side, customers being readers and advertisers.

Garden Route Publishing provides these services.  The services concern online and offline activities.  The site is under construction as well and part of the project.

The Publishing Concept

The visible part of the iceberg is an online publication in form of a magazine style website, theGarden Route Directory. Then there is a directory serving as an interface for advertisers and contributors, the actual Garden Route Directory. The two are interlinked by an aggregator, which allows to prepare and optimize the content from the directory for search engine efficient publication in the magazine. Hooked to the aggregator there are multiple smaller publications as well, to specifically targeting niche keywords corresponding to the categories and sub-categories of the Directory and the Magazine.

The Heart of the structure is the Aggregator, a Semiomantics development; this element has two functions: it serves as the technical link between the Directory software and the actual Publication (the Magazine) and it serves as a management tool for the information flow throughout the publishing network, providing optimized feeds for an unlimited network of peripheral niche sites as well as to the magazine.

At every stage of the architecture of the project we implement ideally Semiomantics products, the new Semiomantics YM for the magazine, the Semiomantics YA for the aggregator and the Semiomantics YB for the peripheral niche publications.

The concept follows the profile of the YORGOO Publishing concept.

Possible additional developments:

The layout of the project allows to expand the publishing activity way beyond the usual Yellow Pages function the competing directories have. It can develop into the most important publishing toolfor the whole area. Under the umbrella of Garden Route Publishing you can imagine additional products serving the population of the region, namely a network of free blogs and other Web 2.0 applications.

From there it is a small step to syndicate content for the various feeds of the publishing network and to provide additional visibility to the advertising customers.

The Publishing Network will be thus in a position to provide communication, publishing and web services locally and to become an opinion leader and global authority for Garden Route related topics: the source for anyone who wants to access information and services concerning the Garden Route region.

Finally, the concept is scalable and can be duplicated and applied to any geographically or theme defined target. A Franchising Conceptis under development based on customer demand and the experience from YORGOO Publishing, Semiomantics as well as from this public Project.”

 

This is what has been the first draft after a first discussion.

 

We have set up Garden Route Publishing as the Service Provider for the project, a YORGOO Publishing site. This site will monitor the development and implementation of the project as well as assume support functions.

To create an umbrella site, we have set up HannoCoetzee.com: The site will help us to create the link between the Garden Route Directory related sites and Hanno’s other websites, which are related to Garden Route Real Estate and Garden Route Accommodation.

 

We will now define the key-word clusters for the Directory and the Publication and then decide, which publishing support each of the key-word needs to reach high visibility on Google with each keyword.

NextGen Gallery on Ycademy Framework

NextGen Gallery integration with the release candidate of the future Ycademy Framework was the topic of last night’s Webmaster training. The recommended basic configuration of NextGen Gallery was easy to implement. The numerous widget hooks on the Ycademy Framework release candidate allow for efficient display of images.

Ycademy is the Working Title for a new Framework Development by Semiomantics, based on the Framework used on Yorgo Nestoridis. The framework unites Semiomantics Google Top 10 modules as well as all the necessary hooks for future oriented Media publishing.

Semantic Communication using other media than the written word is of paramount importance a society where communication has no boarders and where people have shifted from reading to viewing and listening, sensing and feeling. A public release is not planned before the end of the year as more development is required. Customized applications are however already under construction.

Ycademy Pro’s will be the first to receive the final release as part of their Ycademy Pro Pack.
