<p>Seriously, nobody can guarantee Google Top 10 positions on any keyword. However there are some clear ways of proceeding to put the best chances on your side of the table. <span id="Load_a_website_based_on_a_Search_Engine_Optimized_Script."><h3>2. Load a website based on a Search Engine Optimized Script.</h3></span>
<p>No doubt some sites do better than others and some scripts give you a fair advantage, namely if you are not a SEO expert. <p>Large networks, such a linked-in, facebook, twitter and others grab your name to get <strong>their</strong> websites on top of Google under your neme keyword. Your site, having less authority than the big boys, falls back and often disappears from the top 10, even if you use your name as domain name. The big boys place their ads along with your name, profile or keyword and make the bucks while you, fooled,Â  have thought that they would help you to promote <strong>your</strong> business.</p>

<span id="Publish_your_Content"><h3>6. Publish your Content</h3></span>
<p>It’s a bit like the Editing job; brilliant content, lousily published will just not make it. The quality of your publishing can be improved largely with a solid site framework, such as Semiomantics frameworks. Personal fine-tuning however will always make the difference. <p>Once you have reached your top 10 position, you must maintain it; just continue to publish once in a while, depending on the competition, a post targeting the selected keyword.</p>
<p>A campaign on a keyword is similar to promoting a URL: keep your focus until the goal is reached before you shift to the next keyword. If and when you shift, make sure you have the necessary resources to campaign for the next keyword while maintaining your achievements on the first target.</p>
<span id="Know_your_Priorities"><h3>8. Know your Priorities</h3></span>
<p>Focus on reaching Google Top 10 before you think about web design, graphics, ads and other distractions. If your site can not be found by searchers, no one will ever see your ads or beautiful graphics.</p>
<p>Priority number one is therefore: Reach Google Top 10!</p>
<p>Once you are there, you are interested in offering your visitors a good first impression: create empathy with your site design, look and feel. Aim to offer your visitors quality content and a positive surfing experience.</p>
<p>Only on the third level or priorities I put ads.</p>

<p>Let’s not go into keyword analysis and market assessment here; let’s just look at the mechanisms which allow you to make money from your Google Top 10 Position.</p>

<p>By Clicking on your ads or by following related commercial links from within your content, visitors will enter your sales pipeline. Depending on what marketing strategy you use, you may make money from every single click (pay per click programs, such as Google AdSense) or you may direct visitors to a sales page of yours (shop for example) or of a merchant you are an affiliate of. The Third possibility is that visitors click on ads you have been paid for to display by direct advertisers.</p>

<p>FBlaster is based on the high performance Semiomantics XO script and integrates all the qualities, bells and whistles thereof.</p>
<p>Considering that Facebook Fan Pages display content in an iFrame, it is important to integrate as much of the FBlaster content with facebooks other features in order to gain visibility on the facebook search and in order to establish communication between the fan page content and the facebook audience.</p>
<p>In order to accomplish this, FBlaster communicates with the facebook wall, notes and comments. Facebook comments can be integrated into FBlaster as well as the oposite is true as well: FBlaster Comments can populate the Wall and Notes as well.</p>
<p>FBlaster allows to manage your Facebook content from outside. FBlaster also takes advantage from the multiple feed opportunities granted by Facebook to export Facebook content to the WWW with the goal to add exposure on Search Engines, namely on Google.</p>

<p>Once installed, the publication to and from Facebook is automated. Further development is possible, such as adding a shop, or any other desired feature, such as a version for mobile devices.</p>

<p>The combination of self hosted WordPress and Facebook is a brilliant idea; you take advantage of the popular place Facebook for the social aspect and you can style your content and features to taste.</p>
<p>Also from a work-flow point of view, you don’t need to spend your day on Facebook and manage at the same time your WordPress: your Publishing and Editing is managed from your WordPress dashboard.</p>

<p>Originally FBlaster has been developed for people who want to make their Facebook cool (it’s true, while Facebook may have been cool when it started, it now looks somewhat oldish and it still does not allow users to give to their FB presence that personal touch and feel you can set up on MySpace for example.</p>
<p>Also, FBlaster is probably the most sophisticated Facebook Marketing Tool in as much as it can provide high visibility without paying for Facebook or other ads. There is no question about the Google Top 10 performance, since the FBlaster includes Semiomantics XO optimization features. Social Media Marketing is made easy with FBlaster as it can control and automate publishing to multiple social networks, such as MySpace and all the social aggregators.</p>
<p>Last but not least, users have complete control over where on Facebook to publish posts :-).</p>

<p>You will need to apply your color scheme and implement your choice of typefaces to start with. Also you have the possibility to create a set of default images which will be linked to the different categories in the layout grid.</p>

<p>Prepare your list of content sources, namely the feed links for importing your content first from your own author blog or other personal sites.</p>

<span id="Semiomantics_XO_for_Photos"><h3>Semiomantics XO for Photos</h3></span>
<p>I am pleased with the behavior and look of the Semiomantics XO customization at <a title="iPhone 4 Photos" href="http://iphone4photos.net" target="_blank">iPhone 4 Photos</a>. This is a niche site focusing on photos taken with the iPhone 4. Similar niches can be created for other purposes using Semiomantics XO. The interest is in the fact that the pictures are hardly ever commented and yet find their way to Google Top 10, be it from iPhone4Photos or through the Publishing Network. The site under it’s main keyword ranks just within the top 40 amongst 425 000 000 search returns.</p>
<p>This site helps us to improve the semantics used in connection with media, especially with photos and video. Also we are testing linking the Photo Media Stock site from and to Semiomantics scripts.</p>
<span id="Seminar_Registration"><h3>Seminar Registration</h3></span>
<p>If you experience problems with your registration for the August seminar, please contact Bianca; she will find a way to accommodate you. As the HIOD site is hosted on the same server where we are building all the goodies for the seminar, temporary down-times are possible. Nevertheless we will need the test team to start exploring the site before the end of this week.</p>

<p>Before uploading the evolution folder you may want to rename it to the folder name it should take on the server; if you upload the site to the domain root (public_html) then you just load the content of the evolution folder without the folder itself.</p>
<p>Once uploaded you may want to start adding a background image (photo of graphic); I have loaded just a background pattern:</p>

<p>For this project I keep a uniform background throughout the whole site; however i would be nice as well to create a nice graphic grunge or photographic background.</p>

<p>I start now by adding images to my showroom. In fact I am using for this project a showroom gallery instead of the about page: I will oad there graphic images representing my bullet list and then add text to the image legends.</p>

<p>The images are created in photoshop in 2 versions: jpg and transparent png. I load both versions to select later the images to keep — may be a mix of jpg and png images. To create the images I just created two layer sizes: 400 x 600 px and 800 x 600 px. Important: the images must be 600 px high. I drop my messages into the pictures using some grungy Times font and using background colors based on my usual color scheme.</p>
<p>The idea here is to use a gallery to replace the About page by graphically representing the main message I want to deliver and allowing for more information attached to each image. (This way of proceeding is not in line with the <a title="Ycademy Easter Contest Terms" href="../yorgo-nestoridis-development/ycademy/ycademy-easter-contest/" target="_blank">terms  of the contest</a>!)</p>

<p>For the show case I selected screen-shots of websites I have designed and built for Semiomantics. I have selected 30 screen-shots to see the effect and to measure loading time. I will trim this down later and make a representative selection out of the lot. There are also others I may want to add …:-).</p>

<p>The screen-shots are mega sizes from 100 kb to over 400 kb, whereas they will be adjusted for faster loading. I am testing flash compression and loading them as swf files which is one of the advantages of this gallery script.</p>
<p>A legend will be associated with each screen-shot; each image is based on a Semiomantics script type or module and can therefore be linked to a category or product in the semiomantics shop.</p>
<p>My recommendation: try to keep the image size as compact as possible for fast loading: ideally below 100 kb per image.</p>
