<p>The post describes our strategy to fetch the first 1000 followers on Twitter for the purpose of building a list of readers, listeners and people we can engage in conversation with.</p>
<p>Our declared <a title="Marketing Herbalife" href="http://yorgonestoridis.com/social-media/twitter/herbalife-marketing-on-twitter-facebook-and-google-part-2/" >90 days goal</a> is to rake in 10 leads per day and one sale per day.<br />
<a name='Expanding on Twitter'></a></p>
<span id="Expanding_on_Twitter"><h3>Expanding on Twitter</h3></span>
<p>There is a lot of hype around about how to increase your followers on Twitter and most of it is nonsense. However, there seem to be two main strategies used by successful people:</p>
<p>1. Grab whatever you can and sort out later.</p>
<p>2. Go out in a targeted way to find responsive people with whom you can engage in conversation and don&#8217;t waste your time on nonsense and producing cyber-waste.</p>
<p>For someone who has already a big list it&#8217;s always easy to say: &#8220;be selective&#8221;. On the other hand, when you start, you try to get the best advise and follow it.</p>
<p>Here is the strategy I will apply to the Nutrinsider twitter account: To start with I will go out and look for people with whom I can share the interest in particular keywords and follow them. The more the better to drive my twitter to a level where the critical mass is reached and where it will then produce more daily followers automatically. I think that that critical mass is somewhere between 1500 and 2000 followers.</p>
<p>So my first goal is to reach the critical mass. From there on I can then just do daily follow-up and sort what&#8217;s added, to extract my 10 daily leads.<br />
<a name='Lead Generation with Twitter'></a></p>
<span id="Lead_Generation_with_Twitter"><h3>Lead Generation with Twitter</h3></span>
<p>It&#8217;s always the same: you have the choice between spending money on targeted leads or you can produce your leads with your own means.</p>
<p>I prefer to screen the market by myself, using my Semiomantics websites and the visibility created in stead of spending on or other Google Ads or in stead of buying leads from lead companies.</p>
<p>The free lead generator at YORGOO is another site to use for free lead generation. YORGOO will be adapted to become efficient on social networks later this month.<br />

<p>In as much as expansion is concerned, I have implemented the recommendations from the last Ycademy Seminar a week ago and since then my Twitter Account has increased by over 1100 followers.</p>
<p>I will apply the same strategy on Nutrinsider, pushing may be a bit harder :-).</p>

<p>In fact, you should have two different approaches.</p>
<p>1. Target people who know what they want and who search for the product directly with their credit card between their teeth. That means, you would have to be found on key phrases containing the term Prelox Blue for example.</p>
<p>The problem you may face: you must observe Herbalife Internet rules in order not to infringe trade marks or copy right laws. Remember the meta tag rules and so on.</p>

<p>2. Target people who know the benefit or result they want to achieve and who need guidance to select the appropriate product. This is where you need great content to also build your authority, to build trust and to build confidence. This is probably the most important point when it comes to social networking.</p>
<p>People don&#8217;t join social networks to get your ads and spams all day long. They go there to participate in conversations, to meet people and for entertainment. <p>If you associate the name of Herbalife to your editorials or if you load your site with Herbalife product ads, you are subject to the restrictions set forth by the Herbalife Internet rules. Also your credibility goes straight down the drain as your recommendations are clearly biased by your commercial interest.</p>
<p>Also, if you have quoted scientific content, you may not be legally correct by associating such comment with Herbalife products. So, just keep your freedom of speech by providing non commercial content. Don&#8217;t forget, it&#8217;s your business site and Herbalife is not your business.</p>

<p>Your website is a publishing platform with multiple aspects. Your content can be split and clearly labeled as information (unbiased), Product reviews, entertainment and fun and commercial content such as ads. And last but not least you have testimonials.</p>
<p>Testimonials are a great tool and in fact the best tool for promoting Food Supplements and most anything on Social Networks. However these testimonials need to be formulated in an intelligent way.</p>
<p>Testimonials saying: &#8220;I have tried every diet to lose weight and nothing was working until I tried Herbalife. Thank you Herbalife!&#8221; may be nice for Herbalife to read, but it&#8217;s complete nonsense in a social network and to promote your business and reputation as you are just again smearing all over the place a Company name which is what people will be retaining, often in a negative way as they have not come to a social network to get spammed with ads.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a problem of credibility and empathy and while the name of Herbalife may help you to promote yourself amongst happy Herbalife Customers, this may just not be the right approach elsewhere.</p>
<p>Think about your purpose: You promote your business to build your assets. Your asset is your reputation and authority. In the beginning you may be well advised to use the help of your upline who has already built trust and authority as well as experience. The layout is designed to provide an interesting surfing experience due to the automated embedding of visual elements. Graphic design is provided by Bianca Gubalke from South Africa, my preferred graphic art designer. <p>We have pulled in a few posts via RSS to test RSS feed inflow and to have some posts to test display on site as well as impact on Google.</p>
<span id="Nutrinsider_on_Twitter"><h3>Nutrinsider on Twitter</h3></span>
<p>Our new Twitter Account is already featuring our customized background graphics from Bianca Gubalke.</p>

<p>As you can see I am just following my personal Twitter account to get some flow going and to test the power of communication and publishing of our Semiomantics scripts.</p>
<p>The good old joke about the bra and the hat had to serve for a first test, and guess what: Google sent us flowers right away.</p>
<p>Our tweet targeting an old joke pulled in from a joke network and published on Nutrinsider via RSS feed, triggered multiple Google entries, namely if you check the combination of Lose Weight with the word Bra and Hat :-)</p>
<p>It is not surprising to find us on Google Top 10 under the wording of the tweet (<a title="Bra Hat on Google" href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&amp;q=what+did+a+bra+say+to+a+hat&amp;aq=f&amp;oq=&amp;aqi=" target="_blank">what did a bra say to a hat</a>), what is of more interest is that the script automatically creates the association of our tweet with the main keywords of the website and triggers targeted entries in function of the definition and configuration of our publishing framework.</p>
<p>On <a title="Lose weight Bra on Google" href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&amp;q=lose+weight+bra&amp;btnG=Search&amp;aq=f&amp;oq=&amp;aqi=g1" target="_blank">Lose Weight Bra</a> and on <a title="Lose Weight Hat on Google" href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&amp;q=lose+weight+hat&amp;btnG=Search&amp;aq=f&amp;oq=&amp;aqi=" target="_blank">Lose Weight Hat</a> you will find Nutrinsider on Google Top 10, which does not mean a big deal about ranking but it shows that Google picks up our entries extremely fast, indexes them and lists them where our intentions are.</p>
<p>Brilliant stuff our site script.</p>
<span id="Configuring_our_Publishing_Framework"><h3>Configuring our Publishing Framework</h3></span>
<p>The next step will be to configure our publishing framework for social network publishing purposes and for optimized communication with Google. We want to achieve that Google indexes us on each of our main targeted keywords and that Nutrinsider as a whole gains authority under those keywords. This process should be finished later today.</p>
<span id="Social_Network_Publishing"><h3>Social Network Publishing</h3></span>
<p>We will need to optimize communication with Twitter and make sure that we can be found under our keywords. The publishing process needs to be mostly automated and we need to assure viral distribution. Once our social network publishing concept is implemented on Twitter we will move on to Facebook, which is just a link away.</p>
<span id="Semiomantics_Services"><h3>Semiomantics Services</h3></span>
<p>Just for the record: Semiomantics Professional Publishing Scripts come with installation and configuration as well as basic graphic markup. <p><strong>Step 1:</strong> Get Twy2 from <a title="Twy2 Make money with Twitter Tool" href="http://twy2.com" target="_blank">HERE</a></p>
<p><strong>Step 2:</strong> Unzip and edit twy2.php using your text editor (notepad or <a title="PSPad text editor" href="http://pspad.com" target="_blank">PSPad</a>)</p>
<p><strong>Step 3:</strong> Edit Line 14 by replacing my ID 1 in the link with your YORGOO ID</p>
<p><strong>Step 4:</strong> Edit line 21 &#8211; replace the URL with the URL of your twy2 page (where you will load your twt2.php script on your server)</p>
<p><strong>Step 5:</strong> Edit Lines 39 to 46 by replacing or entering your Messages (to activate additional messages, just delete the two forward slashes at the beginning of the concerned lines. Type your Message between the quotes, replacing &#8220;Message 2, 3, 4,..&#8221;.</p>
<p><strong>Step 6:</strong> Edit Line 58: replace my Twitter user name with yours, so people can follow you.</p>
<p><strong>Step 7:</strong> Load the page to your server (so that it will be found using the link you typed in to line 21 (step 4 above)</p>

<p>As usual, the seminar has been packed with goodies, but never before have we been able to knock down such a workload in two days.</p>

<p>Onder other tools on TweetLater you find a Digest Mailing function. Use the keyword Wizard to create the keyword(s) of your digest and select the interval.</p>

<span id="TwitterAutomation_3:_Autofollow_People_on_Twitter"><h3>TwitterAutomation 3: Autofollow People on Twitter</h3></span>
<p>Twitter is cleaning out by discontinuing its own autofollow feature and maybe also by sanctioning people using automated following with tools such as Twollo. Autofollow tools are considered &#8220;disingenuous&#8221;. So, don&#8217;t use those tools.</p>
<p>We will not enter any further into this topic here but we will explain how you can automate relation building further at the Ycademy Online Seminar this week-end.</p>
<p>For the record, here below the wording of Biz Stone&#8217;s mail to Autofollow users:</p>
<p>Hi There,</p>
<p>Iâ€™m contacting you because you have a Twitter account for which<br />
we enabled something called â€œautofollow.â€ This is not a public<br />
feature, itâ€™s something we did for a limited set of accounts<br />
such that they automatically follow any account that follows<br />
them.</p>
<p>Weâ€™re going to discontinue autofollow because this behavior<br />
sends the wrong message. Namely, it is unlikely that anyone can<br />
actually read tweets from thousands of accounts which makes<br />
this activity disingenuous.</p>
<p>However, we understand that there may be exceptions such as<br />
applications built using our API or the ability to exchange<br />
direct messages. There are also some who think itâ€™s simply<br />
polite to follow back other accounts.</p>
<p>While weâ€™re going to stop supporting autofollow, weâ€™d like to<br />
find a way to support the other goals folks are really trying<br />

The Twitter Money Making Model we are discussing here has been developed by <a title="Semiomantics" href="http://semiomantics.com" target="_blank">Semiomantics</a> for implementation at the Ycademy Seminar (July 2009) dealing with Social Network Publishing.</p>

<span id="Social_Network_Publishing:_Content"><h3>Social Network Publishing: Content</h3></span>
<p>At the base there is content. Stuff which may be of interest to readers. In the case of Twitter, people either punch in that they are just brushing their teeth with their mouse or that they have just found a funny clip or an interesting website.</p>
<p>The content is the clip, the interesting post or picture. Publishing to Social Networks means talking about &#8220;what we are doing&#8221; in respect to particular content.</p>
<p>This is where Social network Marketing comes in: if the content we are posting about is commercial or has a commercial aspect, then the beneficiary of that content gets his promotion. The beneficiary is the owner of the commercial link (affiliate link, sales page, PayPal button and so on).</p>
<p>Social Network Marketing is using Social Network Publishing strategies to bring commercial content in front to a maximum of more or less interested people.</p>
<p>In clear: Your Goal is to funnel your commercial hooks into Social Networks and to multiply them (viral expansion) throughout the Social Network.</p>
<p>There fore it is important to prepare your content before posting to social networks.</p>
<span id="Social_Network_Publishing:_Means"><h3>Social Network Publishing: Means</h3></span>
<p>The most direct way to publish is from inside the social network, meaning you log in and glue whatever you like to share to your wall.</p>
<p>Posting from inside is cheap, as it is for free. However, the money you save you spend in time. Working just from inside is time consuming and then, you still need a place to send your followers to for the content, which ideally is your website, but which could also be just affiliate links from which you can expect some rewards in case of conversion.</p>
<p>To make things more efficient, I prefer using a personal website from which I can initiate the information flow into Social networks. This website is a typical example.</p>
<p>Then, to monitor the flow and to recover the feed backs, I drive the content of my wall out of the social network, again into my own website (can be the same or a second site. I prefer using a second site or the type <a title="Yorgo Nestoridis U Q ME" href="http://yorgonestoridis.com/q" target="_blank">U Q Me</a> to aggregate all streams from various social networks.</p>
<p>Finally, I would like to convert the Social Network Feed streams into Google efficient content. For this reason I grab the content from the aggregator (U Q Me) and feed it into Google efficient contextual frameworks, such as a YORGOO Booster or a YORGOO Blaster.</p>
<span id="Social_Network_Publishing_:_Automation"><h3>Social Network Publishing : Automation</h3></span>
<p>Once the Publishing Model in place, your processes are highly automated as you only need to initiate the flow of information. You could even do better: you could automate the initiation as explained in the Ycademy Seminar &#8220;Set and Forget&#8221;:</p>
<p>Automation using technical means or automation counting on the viral potential of social network publishing.</p>
<span id="Social_Network_Publishing_from_the_Beach"><h3>Social Network Publishing from the Beach</h3></span>
<p>Using Semiomantics Frameworks and Ycademy strategies, I can quietly stay at the beach while the web and those hanging out there are working for me :-).</p>
