Best WP Business Theme Configuration

Having installed Semiomantics WP Best Business Theme on the WP Best Project site , we can now add content for display on our home page.

To make the theme somewhat more compelling I have redesigned the layout somewhat and adapted the style sheet to my preferred color scheme fonts and graphics.

Branding your WP Best Business Theme

As mentioned above, I begin by implementing my branding elements:

1. Color Scheme

As you may have noticed, one of my preferred color schemes is Black – White – Gray – Red and I use it most everywhere. The Red color code I use is B30000 which I switch to 0000B3 for the blue version.

2. Fonts

Typically I like serif fonts for large size fonts in titles and Helvetica – Verdana – Arial sans-serif fonts in the content and for smaller fonts. Also I like to play with font-variants and distinguish different headings by using Caps, Small-caps.

Special fonts for header banners or branded ads are used on corresponding graphics. The Semiomantics Brand font is Dali, for very small text I like Gautami, to mention just the two most important ones.

3. Graphics

Header Graphics, Banners and ads are created in Photoshop. Please note the large banner on the right side of the home page, which is a banner constructed with the same design elements as I use in Facebook to brand my Wall, pages and blogs. The same graphic elements are also used in Twitter and YouTube.
