Sober WordPress with Semiomantics XO

Thinking about a blog for my web design site at yorgodesign.com, I wanted to design the site simple, sober and oriented towards visual communication.

The by now famous Semiomantics XO script provides the perfect starting point for a sober WordPress based website.

yorgodesign.com is not only visually sober but also under the hood: the site runs without any plug-ins and any sophistication is hand and hard coded. Funnily I would call this a ‘customized’ Semiomantics XO :-).

The goal of the design is to remain in support of the content, content which by nature will be very diversified, since different designs and styles will be published there. The new blog stands also in sharp contrast with the Evolution Flash Site at yorgo design.

  Thanks. You can grab the style.css and apply to your Semiomantics XO script right away. You may then need to adjust the image size in your layout option.php. Note, I don’t use any header graphics here nor any other graphic element in the frame.
