Like the Thriller back in 1982, Michael Jackson’s death will move peo­ple, not just in LA to gather in front of the Hos­pi­tal but also online. The buzz is on on Twit­ter and Face­book and the con­tro­ver­sial celebrity just demon­strates: it’s not because you died that you are dead.

In spite all the con­tro­ver­sies, Michael Jack­son remains an icon, prob­a­bly the most pop­u­lar Amer­i­can world­wide. Over a quar­ter of a bil­lion albums sold and a sold out tour of 50 con­certs start­ing this sum­mer in Lon­don show the loy­alty of a huge fan community.
