Yorgo, If you want to, go ahead and get the wp-touch set up for me. I’m going threw the recordings but I’m not done yet. I have problems in the back office of the geneline.net. When I’m trying to create a new page or post there are functions like add/upload a image want work. I have turned off the semiomantics widgets. I cant create or edit any of those. So with with the upload problem I’m not able to create like a landing page for the wp-touch. I have been wanting to completely redo the website but with some things not working. I have been having a hard time.

On the author blog geneline.net. When I’m doing a new post, I’m not able to add
tags at all. Also in the widgets, I’m not able to make changes to any widget at all. I can’t even drag a widget over to put it into a sidebar. I just noticed that I cant add a photo to a post. The add a image button want work.

Normally, we go into the footer… is that OK here… as there is very little space… and it seems you did not foresee it.

1. An Author cannot approve comments, an Editor can; I set her user account to Editor.
2. You can change the minimum width or the blog by editing CSS:
.template-blog.content .box {min-width:600px;}
for example. Default is 430px. Also note, that a wider min-width will impact on responsiveness.
3. You can add a footer note. In fact, I have not added anything about Semiomantics either, but I will do that in the next edition. Also you can add yourself to the blogroll.

thanks, all well understood except “add a footnote”.
For me this script is quite different from what we usually work with. I did eventually discover what’s in the sidebar.php — which leads to avia-framework — which leads to wp-footer — which just doesn’t look right either. I did an additional round in the EVO itself and don’t see any possibility here either.
So after having done my thorough round, some clarity here would be enormously appreciated. Many thanks.

a Q re EVO: when I bring up any photo in the slider, I have the .pp_details underneath with arrows, number, description and the X button. I eliminated the description, however, I would like to move the .pp_details into the white field underneath the photo — basically as an integrated part that — ideally — adapts to the size of each photo being brought up.
What is the spiffy code for this please :)
Unfortunately this does not work with this slider :-( Or, you put a top margin to the info to move it further down; however this may not look nice on all images.

here’s a Question for Premiere Pro please:
I prepared a movie based on photos which I prepared in size 1600 x 900 to get HD format.
Having rendered the movie, I see significant parts cut off, which is dramatic with images like these:

When I go to 1600 width from 1280 x 720, it gives me basically 1600 x 909 and I see all.
When I reduce to 1280 from there, it gives me 1280 x 727 and no loss either.
So why do I get this loss?
From the forums I am told I would have to tick “Default scale to Frame size” under Settings/General.
I tried this with the current project and I see no more pictures on the main monitor. After some fruitless research,
I assume I have to redo the whole movie with the tick inserted right from the beginning?
Before I make a possible thought error, and as this is quite some work to be redone,I thought I’d better ask first.

Create a new sequence in your project with correct settings , select all assets
in your old timeline then copy & paste them to the new one.
(Go: FILE>NEW>SEQUENCE …)

Yorgo, I have about 6 sites that were hacked. But these are like Bianca’s. There was a easy fix. What was that. I can go in and fix these. I’m going threw them all and making sire the BulletProff is installed om everything.
I just notice that geneline.net is hacked. There you need to delete all htaccess files which have been created on 2-13-2012 and redo permalinks from the concerned dashboards. It’s not as bad as last week’s trouble where we have reloaded a back-up from a week ago.
I am wondering how the hack passes security; could it be affiliate link scripts?

After the new theme install from this morning you need to make custom fields visible again from screen options in your editor (as we did at the seminar) and you would need to add the custom script from the seminar if you want to show pictures in the featured side widget:

Is was in the dashboard in the general settings and I change the url under WordPress address or the Site address and added home. Not sure which one i changed or both.
It’s fixed. You changed the site url which loads automatically. When this hapens you can change it back from phpMyAdmin, options table line 1.

Yorgo, on my problem with genesbiz.com. I took the source code into expression web and took the code out for the slide deck pro and the problem went away. So can i just put the plugin over in a delete folder until there’s time to look into it?
Sure, that would work. Don’t edit php wth expressionweb but rather with notepad or better with PSPad.
It looks like i did something wrong again. I was creating a home.php and was trying to get that to show, it was working perfect then something went wrong.

Yorgo I noticed after the call that the new XO 2012 and the old XO 3.1.3 both had the same theme name of Semiomantics XO and so I looked in both sytle.css’s and they both had the Semiomantics XO for the theme name. So would that create the problem of having the wrong design after we loaded the XO 2012?
You are right; in spite that the version identifier is different it picks up the theme settings as entered by the old XO into the Data Base.

There are updates for the genesbiz.com site. Do they need to be done and do you want me to do them are you. I have problems with the widget sets. Cant make any changes to what displays on the side bars widgets. Also the slidedeck isn’t activated. I can use it. I get errors across the top of the page if it’s activated. I will be rethinking the site. I think that i have messed it up. It is doing nothing as far as sales. Auto Parts is a very tough industry.

There are a few issues in ZN b/o since it came up when adding a post. Cannot add tags, links into post, add media into post to name a few.
While XO works well with WP 3.3, some of the plugins do not. For that reason I advised not to upgrade the Author Blog to 3.3 .….

There is probably a big problem somewhere on your install since
a need for over 128M memory seems way too much.
A few options:
1. Try to tweak the wp-config.php file by inserting on line two:
define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘152M’);
2. Kick out plugins which consume loads of memory. Like NGG.
3. Shout at your host and add to increase memory allocation to
your account.
4. Tell me which site it is and I will solve the issue for you.

Say I want my #body to be #222 @ 30% transparency as I have on my EVO. Whatever command I try, gives no satisfactory result.

Yes — the beginning is clear, but the problem is that I want to apply semi-transparency to the background-color ONLY as in EVO. But here the whole ‘body’ is affected. I tried z-index without success. It’s pointed out in 3w schools — but I haven’t found how to remedy this yet, i.e. as said in my request, only keep the body background color #222 @ 30% transparent. Of course not the posts etc that appear on it!
Perhaps my thinking and thus the command is wrong.
Why don’t you load a semi transparent png as a background? The advantage would be that it can be seen in all browsers correctly. A 1px x 1 px png with repeat should do the trick.

That’s about the maximum optical zoom range of the cam, however there is an intelligent zoom feature which would multiply the range by 1.5, say to about 600 mm and then you could use the digital zoom … which I have switched off.

Your SEO does not work — I have corrected the most important settings.

How to bring SlideDecks onto STATIC PAGES in Semiomantics XO:

Given we have a Frontpage (HOME) with a SlideDeck and say a Sprite-Menu, and wanting our SLIDES in the SlideDeck to LINK TO corresponding categories on STATIC PAGES, how exactly do we do this?
The Linking is not the question here, but the setup of a full-width PAGE with correct SLIDEDECK integration.

If we wish to FEED our blog posts (say from Author Blog) into the SlideDeck of ONE of these STATIC PAGES — like imitating a BLOG — , how do we do this?
How efficient is this in SEO terms?
3.
If we wish to FEED our blog posts (from Author say) according to CATEGORIES to several individual STATIC PAGES, how do we do this?
Example:
On the Author Blog, we have a CATEGORY say “Web Design” — now we wish that all the posts here go into our SLIDEDECK on the STATIC PAGE “WEB DESIGN” — via a FEED.
Mimicking a BLOG on a WEBSITE via a SD on a Static PAGE :)

let me answer this point by point:
Ad 1: There are two ways to look at it:
1.1 Your frontpage does not have a content body and consists only of the header and footer scripts (.php) whereas the SlideDeck and the sprites menu have been integrated into the header.php.
You could just create multiple of such pages by creating new page templates and corresponding headers as demonstrated last night at:
http://photo.yorgoopress.com
1.2 You can create new static pages from the dashboard and select the full width layout from the page editor. Then you just load the SlideDeck into the editor using the SD button from the editors menu bar. Save and you are done.
You may want to use another header than on the front page as the home header contains already a SlideDeck.
Ad 2: Again, two ways to look at it:
2.1 Create a new Smart SlideDeck, feed in the category feed of your choice and add the new SlideDeck to a page according to Ad 1 above.
1.2 Feed your Author Blog Category Feed into a category on your new blog, then create a Smart SlideDeck and select the corresponding category as content for the Smart deck.
From an SEO point of view, I prefer the second solution.
Ad 3: It is the same as above under Ad 1 and Ad 2. Load the category feed into a Smart Deck and then load that Deck onto the page using the SD button from the page editor, or proceed as under 1.1.

As we saw and always see, it’s not necessarily the understanding of the general lines, but the ‘little devils’ inbetween — whatever the reason may be.

Create a CSS class for each menu list item and then set the horizontal margin to “auto”.
Other solution: don’t use the WP menu all together and create the entire menu as a sprite menu, then fit it into the header.php IN STEAD of the navigation.

The menu looks all over the same to me.
Backgrounds.… is it really necessary to make life difficult? You would have to code background variables and decide what triggers a background image to load, for example category IDs.

Regarding setting up my shop: Sometime about a week ago I copied what I needed, went in via ftp and deleted all of the files in the subdomain shop.br.COM, then I went into cpanel and deleted the db, and then I deleted the whole subdomain. Then I waited about 12 hours till the next day to let the dust settle. Then I recreated the subdomain, manually loaded a WP, manually loaded an eShop 3.1 that we received at the seminar, then I started to listen to Feb.‘s recordings in order to configure it properly.
I got as far as I got. I decided not to load the dummy products in order to avoid that variable. When I got to configuring most of the general settings and the design settings, according the order that was taken in the seminar, I decided to load four products.
Now, before I go further, I see that the slider on the home page still doesn’t work. I remind you, that this was an expression of the site being messed up the first time around. I ask at this point: Am I in trouble again, or is it acceptable that the slider shouldn’t work at this juncture?

As I am preparing the ‘psychic project’, on my ‘psychic’ dummy blog on XO, here are two TEMPLATE related issues:
(1) Header ./. Slidedeck:
I have a frontpage (HOME) leading to bloghome (BLOG) via the menu as you know from the pdf I sent you.
On HOME I want to show the specially designed HEADER with sprites as on the design I did (pdf).
On BLOG I wish to show the SlideDeck with the rest I set up.
My challenge is now to get the SlideDeck OUT of the HOMEpage (I deleted the entry on the php but it still shows and I see it on Firebug html… can’t be cookies?)… while keeping it on the BLOGpage — where I do NOT want the special header.
(2) IMAGEBAR
Also, I want NO IMAGEBAR on HOME, but I want it on the BLOG as I had it before. I vaguely remember you saying this is not possible? But then you say “…nothing is impossible” too :)
So, what is the Code I need to punch into the style.css… as I guess I need to define the desired changes/give the !important commands correctly here? Separately for header-frontpage — and header-bloghome???
Or what steps do I need to take?

I have re-coded your child theme where needed.
Here we go:
1. Your frontpage.php looks now like this:

The blog home page corresponds to index.php, reason why we call for that page with the following code:
That’s all you need on bloghome.php.
As you are working with a child theme where you add all custom code, you just add index.php to the child theme and start with the following line of code:
<?php get_header('bh'); ?>As you see, we pull in the header file called header-bh.php which contains the SlideDeck on line 144.
Note: the above has nothing to do with Style sheet. The image bar can also be removed via functions.php whereas you would then “remove” the concerned action on the concerned page.
Also: at present the SlideDeck only displays on the Blog Home. You can add it easily to the default header if you wish or create another SlideDeck for single post, page or archive pages.

This depends:
If you want to display the SlideDeck in the header of any post of a particular category, you either create a header for that category or you use one header and put the conditionals to where you display the slidedeck; note however that SlideDeck needs to be defined as a function. … or you could also use the php insert as we did at the call and insert a template which features just that particular SlideDeck: the SD insert code would then be on that template.
Example:
Create a new php file called sdcat1.php
Punch in the corresponding SD insert code
Insert the template where you want to place the SD, either with or without conditionals.
Example 2:
Create different headers for each category like:
header-cat1.php
header-cat2.php
header-cat3.php
and
rename header.php to header-default.php
Create a new header.php where you just load the conditionals and inserts:

I presume that each header you created holds a different SlideDeck which will then display when the condition is met.

Last night during the session phpadmin I accidently deleted the content of the options folder. Obviously, this was an error. Afterwards I couldn’t access the wp-admin anymore, it seems that the database couldn’t be found. I was asked to repair the database by inserting: define(‘WP_ALLOW_REPAIR’, true); in my config-file. It seems, that WP accessed another DB. Is there a way to fix the problem? Otherwise I have to make a new installation of my author-blog and to
start from scratch.with a new DB. Thanks for your help.

I have been talking to people about what they want on the website. Most that i have talk to have been women, They want to be able to put the year, make, model and the part name or just put the VIN# and the part name in and have it go the that auto part. Haven’t been able to figure that out yet. Then with this page that comes up and maybe then to be able to search by price. Which that can be done. The VIN# is what i always like to use as a parts sales man. It eliminates almost all mistakes. So maybe buying auto parts with just your VIN# is the way to go.

the criteria you mention could be custom taxonomies which is no problem when loading products right into the site. Extracting such data from a product feed is another story unless the stream comes with corresponding custom fields.

With this short note I close my computer for about 8 days, except in order to deal with any emergencies. Until last Thursday I cleaned my computer for computers folder by folder. It was excrutiating work with constant blue screens, and sudden rebooting. It took a full week. Finally last Thursday I got the AOK from MS Sec. Ess. for the whole contents of my drives. I still didn’t feel secure, you see I received this from the data center early last week:

There may be two explanation:
1. Intruders know your password
2. There is some trojan running on your computer which steals your login
details and allows horses to come in.

So last Thursday I sent the computer into a lab to have it cleaned out professionally. I just received it back late this afternoon. They found many more viruses, especially in images, especially in gifs. They told me, with your patience, forgiveness, and understanding, that Sec Ess is a waste of time, they disabled it for me and loaded another anti-virus. They also, or it also, reset Windows 7 for automatic updates, so now I am again the oddball of our group. I had a scare when I logged on, for even though I looked in my servers in my domains, and everything, apparently, seemed OK, still the browser showed a different favicon then my standard BR, a B of a wierd font. I had actually started this note once in order to ask you whether you were fooling around with it, (and if not, then who is), but |: the computer blue screened in the middle of writing this note on your site :|, and I checked the site and favicon.ico was still correct, and and when I got back all was in order. So therefore I don’t know whether I’ve licked the SOB yet.
I have two sides whether to write a nasty post about the person, I more understand to let things rest and keep a lower profile.

I have a comment about: Google unlisting, maintenance page, ftp client, computer clean, and a few of the other details you raised. But before all that, I am stupified about one thing which gives me the feeling that I’m not clear what’s going on. If you look in my google analytics, you will see that my author blog and infertility — cure — articles . com / blog / are continuing to get 100’s of visitors to the site / virus / , and GA reports that many are viewing 3 and 4 pages, and staying on the blog some time. Now, the virus is no longer there, so they should be getting no more than a 404. Now, true, I ammended the 404 php, but I find it confusing, almost as if the infected file is still there. And both with ftp and with cpanel it says that it is not there.
May I trouble you to take a peek at my google ana. both for br.net, infertility, and to a lesser extent holocaust, and tell me what you think? I’ll send you the entry via email. It’s stranger than Sci Fi. Thanks.
Briefly — I am still listed under a couple of post slugs, and categories, although lower for one. I don’t know what Maintenence page is. I hope to be able to report by tomorrow night that my computer is completely clean. My author blog is hosted on your hosting. It seems that so far nothing has “jumped back” from any database, not withstanding the non-clarity re: Google analytics as above.
One of the main problems with these kind of hacks is: we don’t always know what we are looking for. The infected file may write some code to different places and pages, code which looks absolutely normal. In as much as GA is concerned: as Google caches our files, it may take a while till you see the impact from a deleted file.
Btw: I am reloading my Windows today and all the progs; for that reason my answers may be a bit superficial, sorry :-).
Update: I finished going through my hard drives, although with experience I see that I missed things, like when you go through a folder, subfolder by subfolder, you haven’t actually covered the files in the folder which are not in a subfolder, nonetheless I don’t have the patience to go through it again. I hope for the best. Security Essentials found a significant amount, also when a subfolder or file blue screened twice I just deleted whatever it was. Mostly products accumulated over the years.
I see you reloaded WP into br.net, thoughtful move, thank you. I’m going to do it now on the other blogs, although it means upgrading it to the new XO, but the time spent will be worth it. I am also going to contact my server support like you recommended. Regular visitors have continued to “infertility” for the past couple of days, but it looks like s.e. traffic has ceased to br.net yesterday and today. I hope that when this gets all sorted out that regularity will set in.

Question: My original XP was loaded on my C drive. When we upgraded as a group to Windows 7, with your advice I installed W7 on my E drive. (There was an issue of Hebrew for my wife, etc etc). For many months now we haven’t been logged on to XP at all, and I have been planning to reformat it and use the C drive for something else. Now, with this current business, I decided that now is the time. However, Windows won’t let me reformat it. I get a “Windows Was Unable To Complete The Format” error. From the top 10 forums in Google they talk about that Windows won’t allow you to format the disk where Windows itself is running, and other ideas along these lines. Here it’s not exactly the same thing. Do you know how I can do this?

Reformat a HD should not be a problem, namely if you install a new Windows on it. You either do it from your running installation or with the Windows 7 disk. Example: just insert the Win 7 disk and do a clean install on the concerned drive … it will ask you about the partition or disk and under advanced settings you will be able to format that disk.
After you get formatting confirmation, just interrupt the install process.

They put in a file in the root folder of the blog, that is, in the folder in which sits the folders wp-admin, wp-content, and wp-includes, a file called 32.php. it went in in March 30. I saw strange keywords coming up in my google analytics, for example “tuzlarije”, which caught my eye (I don’t have such a word on my blog), and I did a google search and sure enough my site was there br.net/32.php?q=tuzlarije…etc. and when I clicked it, boy oh boy, an experience I never had, files that caused Windows 7 to ask every 20 seconds like a nudnick whether I want to make changes on my hard drive. I found, in between, the files that were doing it, and I deleted them, but they kept coming back out of the grave again and again. I found it very difficult to get control over it. MS Security Essentials didn’t flag it. Now other keywords are coming up on my Google analytics. I want to just delete the file, (if it will delete), but I wanted to show it to you first. I would like to open it, Edit it that is, but I;m afraid.
But we should see from which door the hacker is coming in. Please advise.

FYI & experience, I was inspired to look around on my servers, and lo & behold, I found the file on almost all of my blogs on all of my servers, even blogs that I haven’t entered for months. Even on html sites I found it, like on braphosting. The one exception which was surprisingly clean were the yorgoopress blogs, br and jewish, clean as a whistle.
I did a full scan, and twice in the middle it bombed out with a blue screen, after hours of running. So then I tried just with E:, where Windows7 is loaded, and it also bluescreened after a few hours of scanning. (I get blue screens from time to time.)
Since the files haven’t come back yet to the blogs, H.Y.H., I think to go back to work. I am a bit worried, on one of my blogs, infertility, Google tells me that I had nine visitors today on bad keywords, and I deleted the file last night already ~ 3am. And 16 visitors on my author site. And so forth. Oh, well.
Now this seems to be a major issue .… it could indicate that your hosting account got infested. Let’s have a look at it when you are back.
I’m trying to minimize the issue by first making sure that my computer is 100% clean, if we may rely on Security Essentials. This is taking me time, because it keeps bombing out for different reasons, which means rebooting etc etc. I’m almost doing nothing else except for checking that the hacker’s files have not been uploaded again, which they haven’t, and looking at the 100’s (in the past 2days) who have answered Google’s call to come visit the virus on br.net and infertility. and I put a comment in the sidebar on both sites. Other than that, and visiting here, I’m impatiently going through my hard drives folder by folder. Other than that I am around. If you think that I should check my hosting account, which I would need to be shown how, what you mean, we can meet on Voip, like from Sun morn. Here is what I would suggest: If Google has not yet unlisted you, put the Maintenance page up!!! Even if it lasts for a few days.
If you are sure that your computer is clean and that namely the FTP client is not infested and loading nonsense, you may well scan your files and folders with the possibility that the virus is lodged in the database and will jump back in every time someone surfs the site.
You may also ask your host to do a virus scan or to help you: some do this, may be for a fee as this can be a time consuming issue.
Last: if you have recent data base back-ups, you may be well advised to install a back-up if the hack touched the DB and if the culprit cannot be detected easily.
Please let me know if you need help.

Was again in touch with my ISP and they said the problem lay with my host/domain
and that they could not help me further.
My other sites immediately state in the bottom left of the screen “waiting for…“
then open whereas with barry-bell it immediately states ” looking for … and gets no further.

After I preface my excitement that I feel with plans to implement the fantastic ideas that you gave over that I just now heard from Saturday night’s recording…
My shop: In the second recording (Ute’s) of Sunday by day, you tried to use my shop and it didn’t go, and you had two points of criticism, one that I didn’t configure the slider on top from my dashboard, and two, that the feed doesn’t work, something’s wrong, so you went on to Ute’s shop. I didn’t hear this completely at the time, because I was in and out with a lousy connection.
I am now ready to tackle this problem, but I need your guidance how to. I configured the widget PT Latest Slider Posts with Category 19, which is the only one with products in it. A few problems, I imagine interrelated:
* when I close the blog and open it up again, the widget disappears, goes back home to the left side of the page.

I have a second problem, much less pressing, which I don’t want to mention now as to not mix things up. One thing at a time, I suggest, for your sake. Just that I am sure you will notice when you go to the site that I messed something up with the navigation bar, I’m aware of it, I had a reason for it, it is indeed a problem, but first things first.

I will look at this in a while, just at the first glance:
1. The Feed Works perfectly on FF and on IE the following problem occurs:
Only one top level element is allowed in an XML document.

Frankly I don’t know where imgaa.net link comes from — an affiliate link?
In any case, you would be well advised to redirect the feeds through Feedburner and choose an optimized version (Feedburner offers a choice). This should take care of the problem in any case.
2. The slider widget … has been working when we set up the shop; what have you modified?
3. Featured image: when you upload a picture from the post editor, you get some choices like adding Capitation, Alt Text, Positioning and … next to the “insert to post” button you find a link to make the image the Featured Picture. Also you find a link at the bottom of the right column in the editor (underneath categories and tags) where you can proceed from.

1) I see that in FF the feed works. I will take your advice about streaming it through Feedburner.
I don’t see the imgaa.net link that you refer to. I don’t remember touching any affiliate link except the semiomantics link in the footer, if I or anyone changed it, I think not.
2) the only thing I modified is to take out the dummy data via the button in Themes. At some point I became comfortable with the script, justifiably or not, and I am itching to get my shop in shape the way it should be. I don’t recall touching anything else.
3) I take your words to apply to uploading a picture for the first time, to make it Featured instead of not-featured. Accepted. What I was referring to was to the instructions that you gave in the seminar at some point during the first day instructing how to make a previously uploaded picture a Featured picture. I didn’t exactly grasp, but I understood that you click that “Set Featured Image”, bring up the picture from the gallery, make whatever changes, and then “Save Changes” without “Insert Image to Post”. Why I suspect that I missed something is that it would seem that to select the picture, “Show” that is, from amongst the gallery collections, and then do nothing except for “Save Changes”, and then the gallery closes again, it would seem that this accomplishes nothing.
4) I see that you removed my custom menu. OK. What I was trying to accomplish is that I added a page for an internal reason which appears on the menu bar, but I don’t want it there. Thinking that the obvious solution is to make it a blog post and not a page, I imagined as the wise man with his eyes in his head that in the course of development of the shop that ultimately other pages will be needed, so that I will again come around to the same problem, so let’s just do it now. What seems to you?

Sorry for the custom menu, it’s in the widget list (bottom) just add it again — was to check if that would impact.
Featured: you can always click on the upload icon and instead of grabbing a pic for upload from your computer, you select Gallery and “show” one of those and then scroll down to the corresponding link and make it “featured” (without inserting as the case may be. Save changes, done.
Re slider: I frankly don’t understand what went sour, but there must have been a modification somewhere. Will look at it later.

Regarding loading a SlideDeck to a post: I am working through recording #5 which was after the dinner break Saturday night. I preface that I never actually worked through the exercises of setting up a slider with the material that you provided, because you set it up for me on Sunday, and I went from there and set one up with my own pictures without any trouble, which you can see on my author blog. Following along the exercise from the recording, putting a slider in a post, I published a slider in a post called “Test Test”. You said in the seminar to note that it is out of symmetry, which I see that mine was, and that we should change the height configuration to 450 and then you fixed it to 430. You were working at the time with 800 x 600. My question: I found that changing the height configuration did nothing. Not to 430, not to 600, and not to 150. (I am working with a 300 px heigth). And therefore I don’t know how to make it right, symmetrical. Thanks.
Boruch, here is the extended reply:
1. The Ribbon skin has a fixed height and you cannot just reduce the dimension in the embed code.
Therefore: choose another skin.
2. I have loaded the default now to your post and there you have two possibilities:
If you go for solution 1 you have to calculate your image size in function of the column-width, the spine width and the number of spines. In your case it would boil down to an image size of about 508 x 269 for a Slidedeck with height 300 px as per image below:
The second solution is easier to implement as your images have given proportions which have to fit in to the slider: you use a skin with flexible height and you then play with the height till the display is perfect: takes a few seconds while in the first case you would have to reedit the pictures.

Note: a SlideDeck in a post will mess up your feed, on static pages you will not have problems.

Tried IE9 with no success at all. Same with Firefox.
Been in touch with ISP Telkom and they can’t help.
Now been going through emails that I might have missed and came upon this one whilst away on holiday. Could this be my site problem and if so how do I resolve?!

Yorgo thanks a lot but still no success here. Done DNS flush a couple of times again, removed router jack for about 25secs. Checked access on our laptop as this has Vista and different security. No success either.
Downloaded Maxthon 3 to see if it could highlight anything. All it says is “Unable to resolve Domain Name. Check your that DNS server settings are correct”
This barry-bell site has given access problems before.
Have just checked my co-ordinatedcrafts site with no, as far as I am aware, server change and it loads very quickly but out of date of course.
Should I scrub the barry-bell site and transfer all to the co-ordinatedcrafts site? Any thoughts & assistance greatly appreciated.

Tried to access without success again yesterday and again now. Have just tried http://barrybell.ycademy.net and http://co-ordinatedcrafts.com and they load quickly without problems. As these both work, I have changed DNS setting back to the same as these as per Bianca’s email March 4th.
Will keep trying here but actually getting no result.
Barry, your sites are up and running fine. The problem must be local on your end: fire-walls or whatever as you can see other sites from the same servers. Did you call your ISP and ask for guidance?

I trust you received my message yesterday for when I tried to access my site early last night it opened quickly with no problems. Worked on it for a while. All OK.
Tried to access again early this morning without success.
I canceled Windows firewall first – couldn’t open site. Then I have allowed Windows access to Firefox – still no success.
Left the router disconnected Sunday night and Monday my IP Address now 41.145.2.155 – just checked it again now to double check.
Hope you can assist easily.

I ask — during the seminar you took out of my sidebar the Collapsing Categories, saying that there are widgets/plugins that were once good but are no longer any good. OK, accepted. I ask: Can you refer me to another such Category-sidebar-widget which has both the category and the posts?
This was a general remark in respect namely to the menu features offered by WP 3. However, the widgets you were using can be used as before and you will not interfere with SEO or any other feature of the blog. Just reactivate and use them if they provide the desired result.
(In as much as I am concerned, I have deleted them from my blog as they don’t add any significant improvement to MY blog.)

Another thing I don’t understand, is that I configured “NO” to a lower sidebar, yet in all three browsers it reserves space for the lower sidebar, also messing up the page.
Clean cookies.
Again, here also cleaning cookies didn’t help. I’m probably just making a simple mistake, but I think it needs another set of eyes on my configuration in my dashboard, my eyes just don’t find it.
Also here I am curious if others had the same problem.

What is a problem in some IE 8 versions will not be an issue in IE 9; I am working on a work-around for IE 8.
As of this writing I reconfigured the new XO script on my Author blog, except for the Custom CSS. I have a problem that on my front page some of the pictures appear in the size 120 x 80 like I configured in the dashboard, and some are full, big, and messes up the page. After I had this question I see that the problem is only on IE, IE8, but on FF and Chrome all of the pictures appear fine.
I can take your advice and only use Firefox, but I am concerned about the masses that still use IE.
Clean cookies and edit iestyles.css if needed.
Cleaning cookies didn’t help. I will try to edit iestyles if I don’t have too much trouble figuring out from Firebug what thing has to be changed.
Another issue is that the Sliderota doesn’t work on IE for me.
I am curious whether others had the same problems?

Im File Manager ist alles sichtbar aber in FTP sehe ich gar nichts.
Seite ist auch im Browser nicht vorhanden. Fehler: Server nicht gefunden

Der Ordner shop1 ist im cPanel/File Manager vorhanden aber in FTP nicht.

Habe die Datenbank von shop1 zu diesem shop hochgeladen (die links habe ich vorher geändert), es erscheint trotzdem eine weiße Seite. Die .htaccess Datei ist leer.
Weiß nicht, was ich noch ausprobieren könnte.
