What is an IT Consultant

An IT Consultant’s job description could look as follows:

“An IT consultant works in partnership with clients, advising them how to use information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems. IT Consultants work to improve the structure and efficiency of an organization’s IT systems.

IT Consultants may be involved in a variety of activities, including marketing, project management, client relationship management and systems development.

They may also be responsible for user training and feedback. In many companies, these tasks will be carried out by an IT project team. IT consultants are increasingly involved in sales and business development, as well as technical duties.”

IT Consultant Seminars by Ycademy

Ycademy Pro’s dispose of all the qualities required to exercise an activity as IT Consultants.  Most IT Consultants specialize on a certain number of tasks. Ycademy IT Consultant Seminars serve to permanently update, review, bundle and wrap up the acquired knowledge with the purpose of converting it to customer satisfaction.

Ycademy’s Path to Profitability Seminars will offer 5 Seminars for interested parties who would like to  build a professional, specialized IT Consultancy business. In fact, the Seminar content will consist in high-lighting at every seminar one important aspect of IT Consultancy and it’s conversion into a commercial product.

IT Consultant 1

The IT Consultant Seminar 1 is planned to take place on January 23 and 24, 2010.

We may however modify the date to December 12 and 13, 2009 if not all December Seminar participants will have received the December course materials in due time. In such a case the December Schedule will be implemented on a later date.

Agenda:

Your IT Consulting Project

IT Consultant Profile

Build your Profile and project as an IT Consultant based on your preferences, know-ledge and ambitions.

IT Consultant Project

Convert your above profile to a plan and create an outline.

IT Consultant Website

Build a Website to promote your IT Consultancy Services.

IT Services Sales Pipeline

Build your Sales Pipeline by Adding the necessary software and sales management program to your site.

IT Affiliate Program

Add an affiliate program to allow third parties and customers to be rewarded for promoting your services.

The Goals of Lap 1 of the IT Consultant Seminar Cycle

  • Wrap up your Purpose and Goals in form of a master-plan with short, medium and long term goals.
  • Set-up and configure your IT Consulting Website.
  • Basic customization of the site.
  • Set-up, configure and integrate your sales program, shopping cart and affiliate program.
  • Hook the new business to your existing profile and publishing and marketing network.

Important Note

This Seminar is extremely ambitious as will be the 4 following laps of the IT Consultant Cycle. On the other hand, the main tasks will consist in giving a professional public face to what you have learned and developed for your own purpose during recent months and to wrap it up for commercial purposes.

Budget: we will equip all participants where needed with all the course materials. Where it involves licensed software, we will sponsor the materials partially as in the past. The maximum cost per months for Ycademy Pros is as at present $50.

As Ycademy charges below out of pocket cost, we expect participants to help each other where needed at no cost, namely in as much as the web developments for the personal use of the participants are concerned.

Please keep in mind: this is a Team Effort to build for each participant a personal and customized business platform. All Participants are Consultants and Customers at the same time, allowing us to gain experience during role plays and workshops.

Together we are unbeatable!

For more information and questions, please contact Bianca Gubalke at bianca (at) ycademy.com and watch out for the email to December Seminar Participants. Tonight’s Ycademy Live Meeting at YorgoTalk at 7 pm London time will deal with this ambitious and rewarding project.
