Google Top 10 with Web Design

Web design is an inter­est­ing, busy and traf­fic rich key­word. A per­fect tar­get to demon­strate Semi­oman­tics Pub­lish­ing Strate­gies and Impact. The con­tent of this series of post can be applied to any key­word you want to con­quer on Google Top 10 namely if you use Semi­oman­tics scripts and frame­works. The Goal is to reach Google Top 10 under the key­word “Web Design” and related expressions.

As I am writ­ing there are roughly 320,000,000 search returns on Web Design and loads of advertisers.

I have never been tar­get­ing “Web Design” when pub­lish­ing and there­fore I can­not profit from pre­vi­ous author­ity in the field. On the other hand I can profit from the author­ity acquired with my other web­sites, such as Yorgo Nestoridis, YORGOO Pub­lish­ing and such like.

Using the YORGOO Pub­lish­ing Con­cept I have two pos­si­bil­i­ties: either I post from my Author Site at Yorgo Nestoridis and syn­di­cate into a Niche Site or I set up a new Niche Site and feed the stream into the Author Blog from where all my orig­i­nal con­tent is pub­lished and publicized.

For the pur­pose of this exer­cise I select ver­sion 2.

Task 1

The Niche Site will be built on Word­Press using the Semi­oman­tics XO Frame­work. Alter­na­tively the Ycad­emy or the YORGOO Booster Themes can be used. Thestyles will be adapted as we progress, but we will keep it min­i­mal­is­tic and con­tent focused.

The URL is a sub-domain to Yorgo Nestoridis.

I use rec­om­mended Semi­oman­tics Con­fig­u­ra­tion set­tings for Perma­links,  SEO and Super Cache.

Once the site con­fig­ured, I cre­ate the Cat­e­gory Struc­ture as well as the Tag Cloud before post­ing. A site map can be added using the Google Site Map Plug-in.
