Let your Digital Photo Camera shoot HD Video Clips
Exploring the world of Digital Photography and your Digital Photo Camera in particular, you may notice the Video Function on your Cam.
Most recent Digital Compact Cameras render good quality footage, many provide even HD quality.

Run a Video test with your Digital Photo Camera
1. Check if your Camera is able to shoot Video
My credit card size Leica C-Lux 3 has a video function.
2. Shoot a few seconds of footage.
3. Download to your PC
My Cam renders HD in QuickTime .mov format.
4. Edit video with Windows Live Movie Maker
I have added a Cover Picture and an image at the end.
5. Upload to YouTube
Enjoy and share.
Note: While the Leica rendered a 8 MB file, Windows Live Movie Maker returned a 21 MB file and the YouTube flash .flv is a small 650 kb. YouTube HD comes in MP4 with 4.6 MB. The .3gp format for Mobile Phones is as small as 179 kb – accordingly the quality is lower.
