Upgrade your WordPress in 5 seconds

Word­Press 2.8.1 upgrade to Word­Press 2.8.2

The lat­est WP upgrade from ver­sion 2.8.1 to 2.8.2 is a minor upgrade whereas only 8 small files need to be changed.

Down­load the 2.8.2 upgrade files

In stead of auto­mat­i­cally upgrad­ing from your dash­board, which may fail as many peo­ple upgrade at the same time and which takes quite some time, just down­load the mod­i­fied files and over­write the cor­re­spond­ing files of your exist­ing installation.

Down­load from HERE

Upgrade to WP 2.8.2

1. Unzip the down­loaded file. You find a folder called 2.8.2.

2. Open the folder 2.8.2 and upload the con­tent to your WP root, merg­ing wp-admin, wp-includes and readme.html

Done.

    AhTim dot com is now pow­ered by Word­Press 2.8.2. Its already a year since my last upgrade to Word­Press 2.6.
    The total upgrade time is 27 min­utes, includ­ing plu­g­ins reac­ti­va­tion. I use the 3 eas­i­est steps to upgrade instead of nor­mal way.
    I set own rule…
