Ycademy Seminars in October 2009

Octo­ber will be a busy month, first due to the release of Win­dows 7 in the USA and then because we will run daily ses­sions on Web Design and Image Edit­ing through­out the month.

Win­dows 7 Ultimate

The win­dows 7 Spe­cial Sem­i­nar is designed for all Win­dows Vista users. The Goal is to upgrade Vista to Win­dows 7 Ulti­mate Edition.

The upgrade ses­sion will take place on Fri­day, Octo­ber 16, 2009 at 8 pm GMT (Lon­don Time), where we will ini­ti­ate the upgrade and then let run the Win­dows 7 install over night. The upgrade from Win­dows Vista to Win­dows 7 takes from a few hours to 15 hours in the case of my main sys­tem; you will not have to inter­vene dur­ing that time but you will nei­ther be able to use your com­puter dur­ing the upgrade.

On Sat­ur­day, Octo­ber 17 at 1 pm GMT we will meet to test the sys­tem and to install Win­dows Mail as the case may be, before walk­ing through the sys­tem to famil­iar­ize with the new fea­tures. This will take any­where from 2 to 4 hours.

The reg­u­lar monthly Ycad­emy Online Sem­i­nar will deal with advanced Web Design Ele­ments and Edit­ing. The sched­ule will be posted later.We also will insert a sec­tion about: Organ­is­ing your Data with Win­dows 7 and Work­ing with Win­dows 7.

This sem­i­nar will take place on the week-end of Octo­ber 24.

The Octo­ber Spe­cial Sem­i­nar Ticket price is $80. Ycad­emy Pros get a $30 discount.The Ticket includes all above ses­sions as well as the mate­ri­als needed.
